Challenge

How do you make paying bills feel less like a chore and more like a win? JCC, in collaboration with Mastercard, set out to increase Mastercard transactions on the JCC Smart platform, specifically for essential bill payments like electricity and telecommunications. The goal was to drive usage, reward loyal users and turn routine payments into rewarding moments.

Idea

We launched a strategic digital and radio campaign, backed by high-visibility placements on mall digital screens, encouraging users to pay their bills using Mastercard via JCC Smart. The incentive was a nationwide draw where 100 lucky users would get the value of their bill payment credited back, up to €100.
The campaign focused on the five leading providers: Cablenet, Primetel, Epic, Cyta and AHK.

The mechanics were simple, with a clear message:
Pay your bill with Mastercard. Win the amount back.
It’s that easy.

Results

The campaign introduced a new layer of value to everyday transactions. By rewarding users for simply doing what they already needed to do, we created a feel-good moment around financial responsibility. The initiative not only elevated Mastercard’s role in daily payments but also reinforced JCC Smart as a rewarding and user-friendly platform for essential services.
